ReviewTurkish cuisine is one of my absolute favorites in the whole wide world- and I’ve not yet been to Turkey, just experienced it from some of the best Turkish home cooks right here in the USA. It is so healthy, light, flavorful and deeply resonate of history, culture and religion. During the time of the Ottoman Empire the Caliph’s chefs were dedicate to the culinary arts and perfecting the cuisine we know today generally as Turkish. To explore all that is Turkish cuisine would take quite a long time, but just looking at the geographic location of Turkey being smack dab in the middle of the historic Silk Road and having Istanbul as a great international city that unites east with west, one can just imagine the variety of regional recipes street vendors, markets and high end restaurants combined all serve on a daily basis.
